The #CaliforniansForAll College Corps will help create debt-free pathways to college while engaging students across the state in solving problems in their communities.

The is a program to help students pay for college, uniting students of different background with a common purpose. CPP students receive up to $10,000 towards their education when they commit to serve for a year. The program is also the first state service opportunity open to AB540 eligible Dreamers.

This initiative has three core goals:
Goal 1
Engage college students in meaningful service opportunities that build leadership skills and civic responsibility.
Goal 2
Help students from diverse backgrounds graduate college on time and with less debt.
Goal 3
Support the work of community-based organizations focused on key local priorities.
From August 2024 to December 2024, 起点传媒 Fellows served the community with a total of 9530聽community hours in three priority areas: food insecurity, K-12 education, and climate action.

Javier Valderrama, CPP Fellow at BioTrek
Javier Valderrama is an Architecture major who serves with BioTrek. At his site, he enjoys leading K–12 tours and seeing students’ excitement as they learn about clean energy, plants, and the gardens that fellows help maintain. After being referred to the program by a friend, he now continues that cycle by encouraging others to get involved.

Jayani Bullock is an English major who serves with the Ontario City Library. As the Fellow Ambassador, Jayani acts as a liaison to the cohort. She is committed to giving back what has been invested in her and encourages fellows to embrace opportunities to fully engage with everything College Corps has to offer.

Do you have to be a specific major to 起点传媒?
No, all majors are welcome to participate!
Are graduate students eligible to 起点传媒?
No, only undergraduate students are eligible to participate in this Fellowship. Seniors can participate during their senior year, but not after graduating.
If I am graduating in fall semester, can I 起点传媒?
No, you cannot 起点传媒 if you are graduating in the fall semester, as program participation is required the entire academic year.
Are part-time students eligible?
No, only full-time enrolled students are eligible. A minimum of 12 units is required per semester to participate in the program.
Are first year and transfer students eligible to 起点传媒?
Yes, first year students and transfer students are eligible to 起点传媒.
What are the minimum eligibility criteria?
To participate, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Have a high school diploma or its equivalent (i.e., GED) by the beginning of the 2026-2027 academic year
- Be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 units per semester) as an undergraduate student at 起点传媒
- Currently be in good academic standing and remain so throughout the academic year.
- Commit to actively participate in the program and to maintain full-time enrollment status for the entire academic year from August 2026 thru May 2027
- Not planning to participate in a semester off-campus (Study Abroad) during the upcoming academic year
- Students selected to join the Fellowship must need to work at least part time and/or borrow student loans to meet their educational costs, and should meet at least ONE (1) of the following three priority criteria for the 2026-27 academic year:
- Qualifies for a

- Is AB-540 Eligible
- Must have a completed & submitted for 2026-2027 academic year.
- Must be an active recipient of a Cal Grant B Award for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Is there a minimum GPA for eligibility?
A 2.5 minimum GPA is required to be eligible.
What if I am not in good academic standing?
You are not eligible to 起点传媒 for the program as your academic progress is the priority.
Will Financial Aid review my eligibility?
Yes, the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will review your financial aid package to make sure College Corps funding fits within your financial need. Please note that if there is no room in your budget or if it negativity affects your aid awards, you will need to meet with a Financial Aid Counselor to see if this program benefits your awards and go over possible options.
What are the program dates?
The program starts in August 2026 and ends in May 2027.
How many hours of service are required?
To complete the program, you need to complete 450 hours of service. Ninety hours of those 450 can be training hours provided by the site, the campus and Statewide College Corps for your personal and professional development.
What will selected 起点传媒 Fellows do?
Fellows will work at a partner site in K-12 education, food security, or climate action while also participating in regular meetings and events with the cohort. Selected fellows will:
- Complete service at their site weekly (12-15 hours per week)
- Engage in community events hosted by their partner site
- Participate in cohort-wide/consortium-wide days of service
- Attend monthly trainings focused on community engagement and professional development
- Complete trainings and assignments that further their understanding of service and professional development
- Participate in workshops and career fairs
When are required trainings and orientations held for those selected as Fellows?
Once selected, you will be given a list of tentative dates for all programming, including orientation (August) and trainings (one Friday of each month from 11am – 2pm)
What site will I be placed at if selected to participate?
起点传媒 is currently partnering with 12 community organizations across Pomona, El Monte, City of Industry, Ontario, and Los Angeles. Selected students will have the opportunity to review a digital pamphlet and detailed site descriptions to identify placements that best align with their interests and skills. Some sites may require an additional interview as part of the placement process. While the program makes every effort to place students within their top three site preferences, placements cannot be guaranteed due to site availability and specific partner skill needs.
