Summary

Academic Innovation's second pop-up course was called “COVID-19: Biological, Psychological and Philosophical Perspectives” (CPU 2990) and focused on COVID-19 from three diverse disciplinary perspectives: biological, psychological, philosophical. It was held in Spring 2021 and was taught by a team of experts from across the Æðµã´«Ã½ campus. The unique feature of this course was it was taught fully online---very fitting for a course about COVID-19 taught in the middle of a pandemic.

Moreover, the students not only learned about COVID-19 from the diverse point of view, but were able to dive into how COVID-19 affected their daily lives on a personal level; the students felt safe to use this pop-up course as an outlet to express themselves during those difficult times. The students also were able to create unique projects during the course, including a video interview, a COVID-19 comic book for kids, and a COVID-19 newsletter, each assessing CPP's response to the pandemic or COVID-19 in general.
