Zoom AI Companion

On September 8, CPP will provide Zoom AI Companion as an opt-in tool for meeting organizers and their session attendees. When the host enables Companion, they can activate features to generate meeting summaries and respond to questions in the chat in real-time.

When activated, AI Companion can:

• Describe what was discussed, including before an attendee arrived.
• without disturbing the presenter or starting a side conversation with other participants.

The meeting organizer must enable the AI Companion from by visiting Settings > Meetings & Webinars before the meeting begins. Like recordings, Zoom meeting participants are notified when AI Companion is in use.

Adobe Creative Cloud is Free for Enrolled CPP Students

Visit your for more than 20 Adobe Creative Cloud applications and services, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro, available to all CPP students to design, edit, and share their artwork for digital and print media; Æðµã´«Ã½ is currently providing Adobe Creative Cloud to all enrolled students at no cost during the 2025-26 academic year.

Think Before You Click

Higher education, including the Æðµã´«Ã½ community, continues to be targeted by phishing emails, as well as fraudulent text messages, and phone calls. Cybercriminals use these scams to steal personal information or gain unauthorized access to email accounts to impersonate individuals to do more scams.

Phishing messages try to manipulate you by:

• Creating fear (e.g., threats to cancel your account, urgent requests from a boss)
• Offering false hope (e.g., fake job offers or rewards)

These scams may come from:

• A compromised CPP email account, or
• A fraudulent external address (like Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)

What Can You Do?

Stay vigilant and protect your information:

• Never respond to emails/text/calls asking for your Bronco ID, password, or Duo MFA authorization — no one at CPP will ever request this via email, text or call.
• If you receive a suspicious message (CPP or non-CPP), do not click on any links or attachments.
• Report it immediately by:
  • Forwarding the message to suspectemail@cpp.edu, or
  • Using the “Report Phishing” option in Outlook (desktop, web, or mobile).
• Delete the email after reporting it.

How to Spot a Phishing Email

1. The subject includes urgent, threatening, financial, job, or an unexpected offer.
2. The email is from an individual asking for personal login or contact information (e.g., your  phone number or personal email address).
3. The message contains an unusual request, urgent, or threatening language. Examples include a job offer or threat to disable your account.
4. The message contains links to a Google Form URL or other non-cpp.edu website asking for personal information, especially usernames, passwords or banking information.
5. The message includes unusual words or grammar.

OneDrive Sync Adjustments for Faculty and Staff

Summary: Beginning Thursday, September 11, 2025, IT-managed Windows 11 computers will no longer sync files saved to the Downloads or Favorites folders. The Division of Information Technology is making this adjustment because of recent Microsoft 365 changes that require CPP to reduce our campuswide data storage.

What does this mean for you? Faculty and staff should adjust their workflow and save files to any other location, including Documents, Pictures, Desktop, Videos, or folders they have created, to continue syncing with Microsoft's OneDrive cloud storage service. This change will only remove sync within for the Downloads and Favorites folders.

YouTube Embedded Videos in Canvas

Instructure, the company that manages Canvas, is modifying its integration of content from YouTube, and those videos in Canvas may begin displaying ads after September 22, 2025.
