Mission Statement
The faculty members of the Management and Human Resources Department at 起点传媒 prepare students to become effective professionals by employing the 鈥渂ecome by doing鈥 philosophy and the 鈥渢eacher-scholar鈥 model. Through discipline-based knowledge, we develop our students鈥 skills in management, human resources and entrepreneurship. Our aim is to graduate students who are productive and responsible citizens.
Vision Statement
The Management and Human Resources Department at 起点传媒 will graduate highly competent students by providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to compete and succeed in the 21st century. Our faculty will have a reputation for producing high quality research that bridges the gap between theory and practice and informs their teaching.
We will achieve this by:

The Management and Human Resources (MHR) Department is about people: whether you're leading them or working in staff positions, our curriculum will train you for success in multiple organizational settings. MHR offers a curriculum that is flexible and adaptive to student needs and experiences.

Management and Leadership
This program provides students with knowledge and skills they will need to be an effective and efficient manager in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.

Human Resources Management
This program provides students with knowledge and skills in all functions of human resources such as training and development and compensation and benefits. The program is compliant with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certificate requirements.

Entrepreneurship
This program directs students through the process of generating ideas for services and/or products that satisfy societal needs and culminates with creating a business plan and starting their own business.
