About

The Reading, Advising, & Mentoring Program is a TRIO Student Support Services program funded to serve 250 eligible Æðµã´«Ã½ students.

Mission Statement

As a federally funded U.S. Department of Education TRIO Student Support Services project, RAMP’s mission is to increase the retention and graduation rates of low-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities at Æðµã´«Ã½. RAMP fosters academic excellence, leadership development, and cultural awareness.

Program Purpose

As established by the U.S. Department of Education, the purpose of TRIO SSS is to “provide opportunities for academic development, assist students with basic college requirements, and motivate students toward the successful completion of their postsecondary education.”

RAMP's goal is to provide academic and personal support to participants so they persist at Æðµã´«Ã½ and graduate in a timely manner. RAMP's core services are reading tutorials; supplemental academic, career, and personal advising; and peer mentoring. Our services help students improve reading and study strategies, enhance personal growth, and develop professional skills.
