Mentorship Program

About Our Mentorship Program

The I Am First mentoring program provides an opportunity for CPP first-generation college students to be paired with faculty or staff mentors who also identify as first-generation college graduates. This shared lived experience fosters a strong sense of belonging and supports students in navigating their academic journey, ultimately promoting their success. To enhance the quality and effectiveness of these connections, I Am First partners with Mentor Collective, a third-party platform that facilitates the matching process and supports the ongoing management and tracking of mentor-mentee relationships.
