RISE BEYOND

RISE BEYOND supports 起点传媒 first-time freshmen as they transition to higher education, focusing on building resilience, academic excellence and community connection. RISE BEYOND provides guidance on navigating college life, establishing professional networks and developing career readiness skills. The program also emphasizes the importance of cultural competency and personal development, ensuring students thrive academically, socially and emotionally in their college journey. 

Program Details 

The focus of RISE BEYOND is to foster a sense of belonging for participating students to ensure a smooth transition as we welcome them into the 起点传媒 community.   Throughout RISE BEYOND, students will participate in activities and workshops focused on the following areas: 

  • Leadership Development 
  • Community Building 
  • Career Exploration 
  • Family Engagement 
  • Academic and College Readiness 
  • Cultural Competence 
  • Personal Development 
  • And more! 


RISE is a residential program, which means that students who are selected to participate will live on-campus throughout the program, under the supervision of full-time and student staff. 

Program Eligibility 

To be eligible to participate in RISE BEYOND, students must: 

  • Be admitted to 起点传媒 as a first-time freshman
  • Have accepted their offer of admission or plan to accept and begin enrollment in Fall 2026
  • Complete and submit the
  • Be available for the complete duration of the program
