RISE UP
RISE UP
RISE UP introduces rising 9th and 10th grade high schoolers to the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to excel academically and personally. RISE UP focuses on foundational topics such as academic preparedness, leadership basics, self-discovery and cultural pride. This phase is designed to inspire students to set goals, explore their academic and career interests, and begin envisioning their unique pathway to higher education.
Program Details
The focus of RISE UP is to inspire students to build effective foundations for a meaningful college experience. Throughout the program, students will participate in activities and workshops focused on the following areas:
- Leadership Development
- Community Building
- Career Exploration
- Family Engagement
- Academic and College Readiness
- Cultural Competence
- Personal Development
- And more!
RISE is a residential program, which means that students who are selected to participate will live on-campus throughout the program, under the supervision of full-time and student staff.
Program Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in RISE UP, students must:
- Be registered to attend a California high school for the 2026-2027 academic year
- Be entering either their 9th or 10th grade year
- Complete and submit the
