Below are some FAQs on the Master's in Economics Program

Students may 起点传媒 at most 12 units of 4000-level coursework toward satisfaction of the degree. Any EC 4000-level course can be counted with approval of the graduate coordinator. 

Minimum GPA for admission is 2.5. A GPA of 2.7 or above is expected in the last two years of the applicant’s undergraduate coursework.

No. The GRE is not needed to 起点传媒. 

Prior to taking graduate core courses, students must successfully complete the appropriate preparation course: EC 4406 or equivalent for EC 5550; EC 4403 or equivalent for EC 5551; and EC 4444 or equivalent for EC 5552 and/or 5553. 

Department support is limited and partial. The department awards at least one student the Dr. Franklin Ho Endowed Scholarship Award of between $1,000 and $3,000 annually.

Graduate students often secure employment as graders and/or peer mentors. Note that international students qualify.  

Additionally, competitive funded research opportunities exist at the university level, and needs-based financial aid is also available.  

 

Students have opportunities to work with faculty collaboratively on researchFinancial support is limited, with few part-time, paid research assistant positions available.
